1 Before you wash it, you should comb it
To avoid knots or tangles in your hair, before washing your hair prosthesis you should comb it, I recommend not using a narrow-toothed, pointed comb but a wide-toothed brush with silicone tips. Run it over the length of the hair a few times gently and without forcing. You will see that you will avoid knots and tangles when washing.
2 Always use the right products
It is not recommended to use dry shampoo (not greasy) when washing your hair prosthesis, what your
prosthesis or wig needs are delicate products that moisturize the hair shaft. So avoid products with sulfites and alcohol, and opt for products suitable for your system, you must remember, having no hair bulb requires continuous hydration.
Remember that the prosthesis tends to get much less dirty than natural hair, so limit the amount of shampoo (it tends to ruin the hair) and instead use more restructuring creams (which moisturize the cuticle). A prosthetic that receives 5-10 minutes of restructuring cream with each wash will have softer, silkier hair over time.

3 Avoid using water too hot
Both synthetic fiber and natural hair are damaged by very hot or boiling water, you should when washing your hair prosthesis with cold water or room temperature, always avoid boiling water and if you can also avoid hot water.
4 How to wash your hair system
In this article we refer to washing your hair prosthesis when it has been removed from the head and not when it is on the head (we discuss the topic in
this article). Once the base is already cleaned, we have to wash the hair, but how, under the flow of tap water, use a basin, or the same sink, fill it with water and put some shampoo in it, with your hand move the water and shampoo and then put the system to soak for a few minutes, you can with your hand, if you want, pass the water over the hair and its length.
5 Rinse with cold water

6 Most importantly, the restructuring cream
We are in the most important phase after washing your hair prosthesis, the one that serves to moisturize the hair and keep it beautiful over time. We have to pass the restructuring cream along the hair, we use our hands and apply the cream throughout the hair, let it act for 5 to 20 minutes and then repeat the rinsing operation.
It is NOT IMPORTANT TO LEAVE PERFECTLY THE RESTRUCTURING CREAM, LEAVING A LITTLE ON YOUR HAIR YOU WILL SEE THAT THEY WILL STAY MORE HYDRATED AND DRYER.
It is not important to leave the restructuring cream on your hair.
7 The drying
With a towel we touch the hair, then we can
let the system dry naturally (and use the spare, as you know in Newlacecu we recommend alternating two systems, to extend its life and have a more and discreet maintenance), if we do not have the system to alternate, we use an ion dryer at cold or room temperature (never hot) and dry and hydrate the hair with the dryer ions.
8 Styling
For styling, we have two options: the fingers, to create a more modern and lively hairstyle (particularly with male prostheses and short hair) or the brush with silicone and wide teeth (better with long hair and female prostheses), at this stage we use delicacy, work the ends and avoid static.
9 Styling
This is the phase in which we have to mold the hairstyle of our hair, we can use a not strong wax, a spray with leave-in conditioner, argan oil or a not strong gel, these products will help us to wet more the hair and style it as we want.
FINAL BONUS
Try not to use hairspray, you will make your hair much more static and unnatural,
DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED. Hair should be soft and moisturized, not hard and dry, using hairspray on a wig or hair prosthesis, which by nature do not have bulbs and therefore their main flaw is static and stiff hair is a real AUTOGOAL!
