It is logical and normal that when we have to wear a wig or a hair system for the first time we have several doubts about the best anchorage method.
There are wigs or hair systems users who keep using incorrect adhesives for months or even for years, thus having problems which are never solved.
So, what adhesive is better for a wig or a hair system based on your lifestyle?
Oncologic patient / chemotherapy / radiotherapy in the neck or skull area
In that case the skin can be extremely sensitive or apparently normal, but reacting in an unpredictable way in contact with certain substances. Even the makeup you could have been always using could cause problems!
If it is true that adhesives for hair systems or wigs are specially designed for the skin (they are a cosmetic, to give you an idea some acrylic glue is similar to nail varnish), they could produce allergies and irritations.
Even hypoallergenic cosmetic (hypoallergenic doesn’t mean antiallergic) can indeed cause skin problems.
In those cases, it is not recommended using glues.
Therefore we suggest a vacuum wig which doesn’t need tapes or glues or other self-adhesive system.
If you need further support, occasionally you can use a hospital type of hypoallergenic adhesive in front-back format (e.g. light blue lace).
Wig or hair system user who takes it off at home or people who don’t always use it
In that case, if you use a strong acrylic adhesive and you take your hair system off twice a day, you can have skin irritation, peeling, discomfort or wounds. As well as the material of your wig or hair system could suffer damage or lacerations.
Therefore we recommend a light tape, not liquid glues. A good one is the light blue tape, it doesn’t leave residue and it is clean.
In case you need practicing sports, or enjoying some days at the beach, it is possible switching to stronger tapes like Ultra hold tape.
Remember that in order to clean and remove this type of adhesive it is necessary to use an ad hoc solvent (do not pull it!) and then you will be able to reactivate them using a hair dryer.

In that case, if you want to keep you wig fixed or settled all day and all night and having a completely normal life (sport, trips, sleep and even swimming) you need a sweat resistant glue, soap and water.
Although they are products made for the skin, keep in mind that for some people they are too strong and can notice some problems with their skin. It is always important to perform a little allergy test behind the ear or on the wrist. Keep in mind that a wig or a hair system which stays 24 hours a day on your head, wear out a lot faster and therefore its duration will be considerably less.
The ideal is using 2 or 3 hair systems every year.
This is also important from your financial point of view, it is important to keep in mind that has a higher cost.
Newlacecu liquid adhesive
For a much more natural effect on your system hairline, you can join the tape with the Newlacecu liquid adhesive in the first 5 mm of the system.
In case of hair system or wig users that are lover of sports, swimmers, elite athletes or have a job that requires a lot of fatigue: it is possible to combine the ultra hold tape with the newlacecu liquid adhesive.
