Have you ever seen our catalogue?

Do you suffer from baldness or some type of alopecia and are you trying by all means to find a solution? Whether you want to recover the hair of the past or if you are looking to stop the progression of alopecia, there are several methods.

These methods to combat hair loss can be of various types, such as medical or natural. Among them, without a doubt, aloe vera against baldness and alopecia should be included.

What is Aloe Vera?

Aloe vera, also known as Aloe Barbadensis, is a perennial herbaceous plant, which has a gelatinous substance inside. It is also known as a wonder plant, as it is used for many natural treatments.

It can reach a meter in height and is found in North Africa, Central America, South America, in tropical areas of the United States, Asia and in the southern Mediterranean.

Its leaves are long, lanceolate and are grouped in a rosette on the central stem. In addition, they can reach a width of 7 cm and a length of up to 55 centimeters. The color varies from green to greenish yellow, through shades of red to pale grey.

Along the entire margin of the leaves there are spines of variable length and light in color, which serve to defend the plant from excessive heat. In fact, the spine is the morphological end of the leaf that helps to reduce the exposure to light and sun, reducing evapotranspiration. and minimizing the risk of dying from excessive fluid release.

Aloe also produces flowers, whose color is reddish yellow. The floral axis can have a length of 60-90 centimeters. The fruits, on the other hand, are represented by a loculicidal capsule that, however, is not used, since the useful and curative element of aloe is not the fruit, but the gelatinous substance that we find inside its leaves.

Why use aloe vera against baldness and alopecia?

Aloe has several virtues, all of them useful for our health. In addition to having anti-inflammatory and immunostimulant properties, it has a strong purifying capacity that allows us to quickly expel toxins from our body.

It also has keratolytic properties, that is, it dissolves the stratum corneum of the epidermis. With this, it allows the excess sebum that clogs the hair bulbs to be eliminated, preventing hair growth, and also eliminates all dead cells and bacteria present on the skin.

Therefore, it improves the health of the scalp, favoring the regrowth of strong and toned hair.

Its use also produces an alkalinization, which manages to restore the pH of the scalp to normal levels, leaving the hair hydrated and soft. It also increases blood circulation, providing oxygen and nutrients to the hair bulb with its subsequent regeneration. Finally, it helps reduce itching and redness due to alopecia.

This plant contains vitamins A, C, E, B12, various minerals such as zinc, magnesium, chromium, calcium, potassium and sodium, as well as various enzymes, called proteolytics. Among them, peroxidase and alkaline phosphatase stand out, which prevent excessive inflammation and act on it by reducing it.

Its therapeutic properties, in the context of pathologies that influence or cause alopecia, derive from the very bitter gelatinous substance it contains and which is used precisely to treat scalp pathologies.

The most effective method to take full advantage of the properties of aloe vera is to use the gel extracted directly from its leaves. To obtain the gel, a leaf must be cut lengthwise into two parts. Once this is done, the gel inside can be extracted with a teaspoon and stored in a glass container.

How to use aloe vera to combat hair loss

If you want to use aloe vera to stimulate hair growth, you can make homemade shampoo and masks. Next, we will tell you how to do it.

Natural aloe shampoo for hair growth

To make a natural aloe vera shampoo, you need to mix the following ingredients with a wooden or plastic spoon (never use a metal one):

  • 60ml castile soap
  • 60ml of aloe gel.
  • 5ml of glycerin.
  • 1ml of vegetable oil.
  • A few drops of essential oil, such as rosemary essential oil, which is very useful for the care of dry and brittle hair.

Then you have to pour everything into a vial with a funnel and proceed to normal hair washing, massaging gently but deeply. This shampoo can be used daily, although before each use it is necessary to shake the container well.

Aloe vera and coconut mask for baldness and alopecia

Mix 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in a bowl, until everything is mixed well. Apply on the hair from roots to ends, cover the head with a shower cap and leave it on for about an hour. After that time, rinse the hair as usual.

You can also make an exfoliating mask with aloe vera and green clay to stop hair loss. This mask removes dead cells from the scalp, contributes to better oxygenation of the hair follicles and helps hair growth.

To make it, put 6 tablespoons of gel, 1 tablespoon of green clay and a tablespoon of olive oil in a container. Once we have all the ingredients, we must mix until we obtain a creamy paste that must be left to act on the hair for about 30 minutes and, once they are done, rinse well. It is advisable to apply this mixture once a week.

Treatment based on aloe vera and anti-dandruff honey

Honey and aloe have antibacterial and antifungal principles, which reduce scalp infections. This mask helps keep hair soft and hydrated and prevents it from falling out excessively.

To do this, you have to mix 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel with 3 tablespoons of honey, apply and massage, leave for about twenty minutes and rinse.

Another solution is the aloe vera and lemon combo for alopecia. This treatment is one of the most effective for regulating changes in the pH of the scalp.

Other remedies besides aloe vera

As we know, aloe is not the only remedy for baldness, as there are many others such as:

  • Pharmacological treatments, such as Minoxidil and Finasteride.
  • Surgical transplants of the Fue and Fut type.
  • Micropigmentation, which is a tattoo-like technique born about 15 years ago.
  • Modern hair prostheses, also called skin patches or undetectable wigs, of which you can find various models in our online store.
